Utilising Inmarsat's IsatM2M protocol this solution fully complies with all SOLAS XI-2/6 mandatory regulations and performance standards for Ship Security Alert Systems, and provides global coverage and fully automatic roaming across all of the world's ocean regions.
Since January 2009 all purchased Ocean Alert MKIII units have provided dual SSAS and Long Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT) functionality as standard. Therefore ensuring full compliance with the International Maritime Organisation's SOLAS regulations V/19-1. All Ocean Alert solutions purchased prior to this date can, with a simple software update become LRIT compliant.
