The Kwant Controls bargraph indicators of the LBM-series come in a number of basic types:

  • LBM-1: Zero position at the end of the scale, input signal 4-20mA or 0-10VDC.
  • LBM-4: Zero position in the middle of the scale, input signal –10/0/+10VDC.
  • LBM-5: Zero position in the middle of the scale, input signals 4-20mA or 0-10VDC.

A number of 41 light emitting diodes (LED’s) in either green, red or yellow is used to display the input signal, therefore the display resolution is 2,5%. All types can be dimmed by means of an external low cost potentiometer, and have dial illumination in matching colors. The housing is made of black anodized aluminum, while the electronic circuitry has been sealed with a hardening compound to ensure trouble free operation. The reading can be adjusted by means of two trimmer potentiometers located at the back of the unit. The LBM-4 and 5 are available in Horizontal or Vertical orientation.

Precautions must be taken when used outdoors, the LBM’s should not be exposed to direct sunlight because of the reduced visibility of the LED indication. A sunlight readable version is available, however with ultra bright RED led’s only. All LBM indicators have been CE-approved and fulfill the Marine Equipment Directive.
